MiniStak has been integrated on
Linux and embedded Linux. MiniStak only relies on the C standard library and
Pthreads which makes it portable even across more platforms.
Cambridge, UK - 20 November 2012
– Blue Creation today introduced MiniStak for Linux platforms. MiniStak is the
smallest, most portable dual mode Stack available in the market today.
MiniStak sets a new industry
benchmark for the industry, and represents the latest example of the software
that BlueCreation is pursuing to enable customers to develop wireless products
in an easy, affordable and competitive fashion” said James Bernit, Hosted
Product Manager at Blue Creation.
Easy to integrate
MiniStak has a simple API that
allows any application developer to integrate code and use the stack regardless
on the environment (Processor or OS used). This makes it much easier to
integrate than using the standard implementation of BlueZ. MiniStak is also delivered ported
on the chosen platform with a sample application demonstrating pairing,
connection and all needed functions for controlling the Bluetooth Stack. Support is also included to
ensure that customers hit the ground running with an implementation that works.
Powerful
Dual Mode
Ministak is a dual mode stack so
it enables products to be backward compatible with Classic Bluetooth
implementations but as well allow the connection to Bluetooth Low Energy using
the same chip and software. Ministak also allows multiple connection using
Classic and/or Lowe Energy Bluetooth.
Smallest Footprint
Ministak Linux keeps with its
predecessors running requiring less than 32kbytes of Flash and 4kBytes of RAM
for a dual mode implementation (SPP for Classic Bluetooth). MiniStak is still
the smallest certified Bluetooth protocol stack available today.
